Chang Chog Puja

(Kunzang Zitro : the Cycles of the Peaceful and Wrathful Deities) in Guhyagarbha Tantra from Kunzang Gongdu (The Union of Samantabhadra’s Intentions) to liberate the deceased.

Purpose: The 15thof the seventh lunar month traditionally honors the dearly departed in Mahayana Buddhism. In the Buddhist tradition, this is the time of the Ullambana (deliverance) Festival, referring to Buddha’s compassion in granting salvation for the tormented souls in hell.It is a day when one pays respect to their ancestorsand the virtue of filial piety is emphasized in this month. This event is a chance to honor and accumulate merits for your ancestors through this special puja. It is also a valuable opportunity to help liberate all the deceased who suffered from the 2020 pandemic too. May the dedications to all sentient beings during this event enable them to recognize intrinsic awareness and achieve enlightenment.
