(Great Accomplishment) Festival 2020
(The holiest rituals and biggest annual event of Gangteng Goenpa)

Drupchen: from September 19th till September 25th PDT
Thruel (Holy Bath): September 22nd PDT
Guru Rinpoche Tsok with Closing Ceremony: September 25th
Gangteng Tsehcu: September 29th and 30th PDT (Not sure being held or not because of pandemic)

location: Gangteng Monastery, Bhutan
time: 24 hours for seven days

Sponsorship: Any amount to support this event is welcome. More program details will be announced later. 
Purpose: His Holiness Ganteng Tulku Rinpoche along with 400-500 monks will be presiding over Drupchen at Gangteng Goenpa. This year, Drupchen will be the Lama Norbu Gyatso (Guru Rinpoche).Drupchen is a traditional form of meditation retreat, it is an intensive practice that epitomizes the depth, power, and precision of Vajrayana Buddhism. The Drupchen includes a continuous all-day all-night sadhanas for 7 days. The ultimate benefit of participating in sadhanas is enlightenment. The immediate benefit is healing, purification of obscurations and negativity, saving lives, and generating good fortune. These religious functions and recitations are aimed at honoring peace and prosperity for all sentient beings. The Mahakala Puja (prayer to protective deity) and many other pujas are to be held at Gangteng Monastery too. During the program, continuous butter lamps and tsoks will be offered to enable the accumulation of good merits in life, and for the betterment and wellbeing of all sentient beings. Therefore, all interested individuals are encouraged to make your own donations based on your wish to accumulate merits and gain longevity.
